"And that will be $49.99 thanks" the shop assistant barely looks interested in what I'm buying, did he just wake up from a nap or something?
I rolled up the poster and carefully placed the elastic band over it. I had finally gotten my hands on a limited edition Super Junior signed poster. My Kyuhyun actually wrote on it! He touched it! Without controlling my actions or actually knowing what I'm doing I hugged the poster to my chest and sighed deeply, life is good indeed.
"Miss, you're blocking the entrance, please move out of the way." the shop assistant's lazy voice interrupted my hazy trance, I apologised quickly and dashed out of the shop.
I absolutely, completely ADORE Super Junior, I've been a loyal fan since their debut (and I was what? 8 years old back then?). And when Kyuhyun had been introduced as a new member you could say it had been love at first sight for me. And now, they've just released their seventh studio album and I was of course the first one to buy it, plus the poster I've just bought, my wallet is empty, but I'm happy.
"Mum! Look!" was the first thing I screamed when I entered the house waving the poster in my hands. I saw her cooking in the kitchen. My mum is a housewife armed with typical housewife traits. I wish I looked more like her than dad, because then I'd have shiny auburn hair, paler complexion sharper features. Instead I look like a miniature version of my absent father, who really isn't attractive for an asian guy. Oh, and he's adopted, but that's a story for another day.
"Mum...? Aren't you gonna see what your precious daughter bought with her life savings?" I called out again, she put down the spatula and sighed.
Mum hadn't been too supportive of my love for the boy band so she rolled her eyes and resumed cooking dinner.
"If that wasn't bought with your own cash, I would have thrown you out of the house" she replied "such a waste of money too..."
"Well, you just don't understand the love I have for my beloved Kyuhyun!" I pouted before I unrolled my newfound treasure and stared at Kyuhyun's oh-so-perfect handwriting appreciatively.
Logging onto Soompi that night, the first thing I did was to of course check for any updates on the band's activities... just in case I miss any competitions involving my love.
"Cana! Get off the computer and come down for dinner!" I heard mum call from the dining room. I sniffed around, the aroma resembled rice and some sort of curry, probably.
My meals would be much better with Kyuhyun around.
